Adam Simmonds grew up in a family that prized their meals together. “We used to all sit around the dinner table on a Sunday,” he says. “That was the time that we all had to be together.” From heartfelt beginnings, Adam’s lifelong passion for cooking has taken him into some of the world’s finest kitchens such as Le Gavroche, The Ritz, and Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons under Raymond Blanc. His first Michelin star came in 2006 in Wales at Ynyshir Hall, and then again in 2010 for three consecutive years at Danesfield House under a restaurant after his own name.
Voyage is the newest adventure in Adam’s accomplished career, found on the ground floor of the iconic Megaro hotel in King’s Cross - a meeting place of many individual voyages. In Voyage’s soothing Scandi setting, the food is centred around a tasting menu that celebrates seasonal flavours stripped back to their earthy best. The intention is to offer an honest and unfiltered window into the inner workings of the culinary process, and leave guests with just something a little more, elevating this from an exceptional dining experience into something that touches each guest and gives them something to truly remember.
Adam’s role as Chef Patron at the Megaro Hotel means he also oversees all-day eatery Spagnoletti, weaving his culinary magic into a sharing menu of reimagined Italian soul food. Outside his culinary career, Adam is bringing heart to the hospitality industry. An advocate of mental wellbeing in the sector, he’s Chief Ambassador for The Burnt Chef Project, and Chef Director at Home Kitchen, a fine dining restaurant in Primrose Hill dedicated to providing life-changing opportunities for those who have experienced homelessness.
